Si Fu Christian started Kung Fu training in 1985, joined up with the Cape Town Branch of the International Taiji Quan and Shaolin WuShu Association in 1989, where he remained under the tutelage of Si Fu L.Reed, head of the association for South Africa, until the beginning of 2000. After the passing of Sifu L.Reed, Sifu Christian completed his training under Sifu Derek Frearson, head of the I.T.S.W.A. Aside from his training in South Africa, Si Fu Christian has travelled to China on a number of occasions to further his studies and knowledge of Taiji Quan.

He started teaching Taijiquan in 1994 and was honored to be invited to teach Taijiqaun at the Chinese Martial Arts & Health centre , headed by Si Fu Marco Kavalieratos in 1995. Si Fu Christian is a practitioner of is the Yang style Taiji Quan and currently offers classes in and around the city of Cape Town, South Africa.

In 2007 Si Fu Christian took on the responsibility as head of Tai Chi, at the Chinese Martial Arts and Health Centre through out South Africa, imparting his great personal knowledge of Yang Style Taiji Quan to his students at the various schools.
